Tomotechi was notified of a raging fire at the New Regional Planning real estate headquarters in Houston at 6am on a Thursday morning. An aquarium light was eventually found to be the exact cause of the fire. The building had burned top to bottom. Computers were melted or clogged with black ashy soot.
We acted quickly to prepare an order of replacement iMacs and servers with Jeff from the Galleria Apple Store. Backups of email, file server, and user home folder data were restored onto two new Mac Mini servers. One server dedicated to email was configured at our data center to restore email service later on the same day of the fire.
NRP was fortunate enough to have a temporary space. Tomotechi technicians worked on Friday and throughout the weekend to set up a fully functional temporary office with the two new servers and replacement iMacs for users.
File, email, print services were all restored and ready for work by opening of Monday's business.
Zero data loss.
