We at Tomotechi could not be more excited to see Apple release OS X 10.9 Mavericks as a free operating system! Apple has just set the bar and hopefully the trend on making operating system costs obsolete! As exciting as this free release is, please be mindful of these following things before you upgrade.
Please backup your entire operating system before you upgrade to the Mavericks. You could use Apple's built in TIme Machine Software with a external hard drive or a 3rd party software. If you would like any help with this process please don't hesitate to contact us.
Mavericks won't install with every Mac, however it will work with the following models:
- iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
- MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
- MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
- MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
- Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
- Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
- Xserve (Early 2009)
You can upgrade to Mavericks from Snow Leopard ( 10.6.8 ) Lion ( 10.7 ) or Mountain Lion ( 10.8 )
