Every so often TooBits — the voice we let speak for the shop when the message is better said plainly than dressed up — steps to the front and simply says the thing. This is one of those. It is not an interview and not an episode. It is a short broadcast, recorded this week, to everyone who has phoned or emailed us lately hoping to become a customer and wondered why the reply was slow in coming.
Here it is, in full and unedited.
Hello world.
This is a broadcast to new parties interested in doing business with Tomotechi, and who have reached out to us via phone or email. We have received all of your many messages of interest lately, and have queued them up for response.
We have been very busy since the exit of an operations manager — who himself wore several hats — and an important technician. David decided that it would be best to wrap up any existing projects, and to attend well to our existing clientele, before bringing on many new customers. The load on the technical teams is always on his mind. Overly stressed support reps cannot possibly be friendly to the customers in the way he wishes.
Tomotechi was launched in a spirit of friendliness. In fact, it is a part of the very name of the company. We have crested this week, and soon we will be reaching out to those of you who have petitioned us for service.
We extend our apologies to those of you who felt ignored during this period of recovery. Truly, you weren't. But existing customers come first, before sales. That should tell you something about the value of our service when you are eventually allowed to onboard.
For those of you who had urgent needs and found another solution — we wish you well. Please come back anytime.
If you are on that queue, you have not been forgotten, and you will hear from a human here shortly. If you would rather not wait for us to reach you, you are always welcome to get in touch directly, or call 281-407-1619. And if you have already found what you needed elsewhere, TooBits meant that last part — the door stays open.
