Workgroup — small office storage

For small offices and single-site businesses needing centralized file storage and basic backup. Single Synology unit, configured for reliability and simplicity.

• Single Synology unit (typically DS923+, DS1522+, or similar)

• File shares with Active Directory or Microsoft 365 / Entra ID integration
• Active Backup for Business — workstation backup to the NAS

For larger businesses, multi-location operations, and environments where extended storage downtime is unacceptable. Primary plus secondary Synology with replication, optional active/passive failover.
